Only one thing seems clear as Newville police and the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office investigate a possible teen sexting ring at Big Spring High School. Even if wrongdoing is found, it is highly unlikely that any juvenile will go to jail. A Pennsylvania law passed in 2012 pretty much guarantees the consequences won't be that high, although it still might give the kids a scare. That statute, which covers "transmission of sexually explicit images by minors" at least takes the offense out of the felony range.
